A Cabramatta student in her 20s has declared she will remember this day for her entire life after she scored a $1 million Monday & Wednesday Lotto division one prize on her birthday.
The Sydney player held one of three division one winning entries nationally in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4023, drawn Wednesday 4 November 2020 and takes home a division one prize of $1 million.
Sharing her joy with an official from The Lott this morning, the birthday girl revealed she hadn’t slept a wink since discovering the news.
“It’s just amazing! It’s just so good!” she exclaimed.
“I only play every now and then, and whenever I do, I just put on a small ticket and then I spend my time daydreaming and thinking about how good it would be to win.
“I thought about how nice it would be to win on my birthday, so I bought the ticket on Monday and didn’t think much of it.
“Last night I was having dinner with my boyfriend, and he was joking that if he won Powerball this week, he’d treat me to the best birthday weekend ever.
“He reminded me I should check my ticket and so I did. I couldn’t believe it when I saw all my numbers match the winning numbers.
“I checked it again and asked him to check it. It was amazing.
“I didn’t sleep all last night! I’ve got a headache now, but it’s worth it!
“I’ll remember this day for my entire lifetime!”
When asked how she planned to enjoy her birthday knowing a million-dollar windfall was coming her way, the humble student said she would keep celebrations low key.
“I don’t think I’ll get up to anything too exciting today,” she confessed.
“I still can’t really think straight! I’m supposed to go to work, but I might take the day off now.”
The thrilled winner also revealed she was looking forward to getting her foot on the property ladder.
“My boyfriend and I have been thinking about buying a house, but it has always been so hard as it is so expensive,” she explained.
“But now we can start looking to buy a place. We can look for our dream home.
“Probably only something small just for us but it will be amazing to have our own space.”

The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4023 on Wednesday 4 November 2020 were 14, 27, 18, 20, 1 and 36 while the supplementary numbers were 4 and 15.
