A Hobart man confesses he had to “play it cool” after checking his TattsLotto division one winning ticket while he was busy at work so no one would suspect his life-changing news.

The happy man held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4143 on Saturday 3 April 2021. Each division one winning entry scored $965,635.64.

Speaking with an official from The Lott this morning, the overjoyed winner admitted he was still struggling to comprehend the news of his win.

“I was in shock when I first saw I’d won!” he laughed.

“Normally, I receive an email saying how much I have won, but this time the email said they couldn’t reveal how much the prize was worth, so I knew something was up.

“It was very strange! I felt weird!

“I scanned the ticket using The Lott app, and that’s when I saw I won division one.

“I just couldn’t believe it!

“My heart wouldn’t stop racing.

“I was at work too, so I had to play it cool, but I was screaming on the inside.

“This is completely life-changing for me! It’s a dream come true.

“I have been pretty close to scoring division on in the past, but now it’s happened, it just feels insane!”

When asked how he intended to enjoy his division one win, the stoked bloke admitted he’d spent last night making plans.

“I will use a lot of it to pay off the mortgage,” he said.

“I would also like to do some renovations on the home and go on a few holidays.”

The winning 12-game entry was sold at West End Newsagency, 88-90 Harrington Street, Hobart.

West End Newsagency manager Shahani Vandermolen said the outlet was thrilled they’d sold a division one winning entry.

“It’s very exciting,” she said.

“We haven’t sold a division one winning entry in years, so It was a great surprise.

“We would love to send our congratulations to our winner. We hope it changes their life for the better.”

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4143 on 3 April 2021 were 41, 1, 39, 31, 38 and 21, while the supplementary numbers were 6 and 43.

Across Australia, there were six division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4143 – two from Victoria and one each from New South Wales, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 329 so far this financial year, including 130 won by Tatts customers.

In 2020, TattsLotto created 122 millionaires across Australia.

During this time, there were 312 division one winning in TattsLotto entries across Australia, which collectively won more than $355.13 million.
