A Goolwa man is looking forward to relaxing with his family in his new ‘little holiday shack’ after scoring division one in the weekend’s Saturday X Lotto draw.

The local resident held one of the nine division one winning entries nationally in X Lotto draw 3933, drawn Saturday 30 March 2019. Each entry took home a division one prize of $2,222,222.23.

As well as scoring the coveted division one prize, the happy man’s System 8 marked entry also won division three 12 times and division four 15 times, bolstering his total prize to $2,235,944.83.

Sharing his excitement with a SA Lotteries official this morning to claim his prize, the winner revealed he discovered the life-changing news on Saturday night.

“It’s amazing!” he exclaimed.

“I logged onto my email on Saturday night and saw one that said ‘Congratulations on your win’ and I thought to myself ‘I’ve won another $10 or something’.

“Then I realised it didn’t have a win amount on there so I logged on to the website to check the numbers and saw they were my numbers.

“I mark my numbers so I recognised the winning numbers straight away.

“I picked those numbers for certain reasons a long time ago. I’ve been playing them for quite awhile!

“I’ve won a few small amounts here and there but I’ve never won anything like this!”

When asked how it felt to be an overnight multi-millionaire the Goowla man said it was a ‘pretty good’ feeling.

“Sounds pretty good to me!” he laughed.

“I’m not too sure what we’ll do with the windfall yet, but I think there will be a few holidays planned.

“My wife wants to buy a holiday shack and then give all of our family a key so we can meet there for family holidays.”

The thrilled winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning System 8 marked entry at Goolwa Pharmacy, Shop 10 – 12, Goolwa Shopping Centre, 33 Hutchinson Street, Goolwa.

Goolwa Pharmacy team member Kirstie Warren said she was thrilled to discover her outlet had sold another division one winning entry.

“I let out a big scream on Sunday morning. I was so excited when I saw the news!” she laughed.

“My customers were wondering what was going on!

“We are just absolutely thrilled for our customer and so pleased it has gone to a Goolwa local and a regular customer.

“The last time we sold a division one winning entry was in November last year but this is definitely the biggest one we’ve ever sold.

“It’s so exciting that we sold a ticket that has made someone a multi-millionaire!

“We wish them all the best with their win!”

In 2018, Monday & Wednesday Lotto and X Lotto created 194 millionaires across Australia.

The winning numbers in X Lotto draw 3933 on Saturday 30 March 2019 were 8, 31, 33, 26, 27 and 5, while the supplementary numbers were 11 and 22.

Across Australia, there were nine division one winning entries in X Lotto draw 3933, two each in Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia, and one each in Queensland, South Australia and the Northern Territory.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 89 so far this calendar year, including 9 won by SA Lotteries customers.

In the 12 months to 31 December 2018, there were 280 division one winning X Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $306.19 million.
