A young Hoppers Crossing man has found the perfect excuse to leave work early - receiving a phone call with news he just became $200,000 richer from today’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.

The Victorian player won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1499, drawn Thursday 27 August 2020.

The Melbourne man admitted he had no idea he’d just scored the $200,000 prize until an official from the Lott made contact with him.

“Are you kidding me?” he questioned.

“Oh my god! Oh my god!

“This is insane!

“I have been through a rough patch lately. It’s been such a tough time for everyone!

“You have made my day, my week, my life!

“God I am working right now, but I have no idea how I am going to concentrate the rest of the day!

“Hopefully I can finish work early.

“I will definitely be celebrating this weekend.

“I am never going to forget this phone call! It’s the best phone call I have ever received.”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his windfall, the elated winner held no hesitation.

“Firstly, I want to donate to the COVID-19 vaccine,” he shared.

“I have never owned a car! So I am going to get myself one and the rest will go towards a deposit for a home.”

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of two random numbers online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
