A Doncaster teacher has confessed the shock of discovering her division one prize worth over $672,000 in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw nearly caused her to fall off her seat.

The Melbourne resident held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3923, drawn Saturday 23 February 2019. Each entry takes home a division one prize of $672,193.57.

Sharing her joy with a Tatts official this morning to confirm her win, the winner revealed how she chanced upon her the life-changing news.

“I discovered the news on Saturday night about 10 o’clock,” she explained.

“I was checking the ticket and at first I thought I had five numbers. I double-checked and saw that I actually had six numbers!

“I rang my daughter and said ‘I think I’ve got six numbers’.

“She said ‘oh Mum, give me the numbers and I’ll double check’ and I think she thought I was wrong.

“She called back and said ‘Mum! You’ve got six numbers!’.

“When she said that I nearly fell off my seat! I only got two hours sleep that night!”

The thrilled winner also revealed she was no stranger to division one wins.

“It’s actually the second time I have won division one!” she declared.

“The last time was part of a syndicate and I won $150,000.

“This time I’ve won it by myself so it’s a very good feeling!”

When asked how she planned to spend her TattsLotto windfall, the hardworking teacher revealed she wouldn’t be giving up work any time soon.

“I know what I’ll be doing with it!” she declared.

“I’m going to buy a new home so I can downsize and I am going to use the money to travel to see my family more.

“I’ll seek financial advice as it will set me up for life.

“My first reaction when I was talking to my daughter was I was still going to go to work.

“I love what I do and hopefully I can work as long as I can!

“It will be helpful to set my children up for the future too!”

The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her 50-game QuickPick entry at Shoppingtown Lotto, Kiosk 14, Westfield Doncaster, 619 Doncaster Road, Doncaster.

“I make a special trip down to Shoppingtown every week to get my ticket for the week ahead,” she revealed.

“I decide to do that because the team at Shoppingtown Lotto are just lovely and I knew they would be lucky!”
