A Shoalhaven retiree revealed he thought he was stuck in a dream when he discovered he’d won $200,000 in the latest Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The New South Wales player won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1266, drawn Wednesday 3 April 2019.
Confirming his win with a NSW Lotteries official this afternoon the man revealed how he realised his good fortune.
“I came back in from mowing the lawn and checked my online lottery account and saw I had a win,” he explained.
“I thought it would maybe be $12 or something.
“When I checked my account and saw I’d won $202,000 of course I didn’t believe it!
“I thought it had to be nonsense. I thought it couldn’t possibly be true, that I must have been stuck in a dream
“I’ve never won anything in all my life before! Not even a chook raffle!”
The thrilled winner said he needed to take a rest after the exciting discovery.
“I’ve been playing the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot and the Super Jackpot for quite some time,” he said.
“I’ve been very keen on the $52 million jackpot but this is certainly very good.
“I’m elated to say the very least.
“I’ve been having a think and I think I will invest a lot of it.
“And I would love to go on a holiday to Japan!”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of nine consecutive numbers online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $52.84 million for draw 1267 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $4.53 million for draw 10281.
