A Jannali man who thought he was answering an unwanted sales call, was thrilled to discover he was being phoned about the much welcomed news he’s won $100,000.
The New South Wales player won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10350, drawn Wednesday 12 February 2020.
This afternoon a NSW Lotteries official called the man, who had no idea he’d just won the 1st Prize in the latest Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.
“Oh my gosh, thank you!” he laughed.
“I thought you were calling me trying to sell me something. I definitely did not think you would be giving me money.
“This is excellent.
“You’ve made my day.
“Gosh what a fantastic phone call to answer. This is amazing news.”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his prize, the surprised winner said he knew exactly what he wanted to do.
“We have been wanting to do some renovations around the house, so that’s what we will do with it,” he explained.
“We will certainly be going out to a fancy restaurant to celebrate tonight!
“Then we can have a nice glass of wine and start discussing renovations!”
The winning entry was purchased at Jannali Newsagency, 86 Railway Crescent, Jannali.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $1.24 million for draw 1478 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $2.58 million for draw 10351.
