A Shoal Bay woman has been left shaking with delight after discovering she won $100,000 in today’s Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.

The Port Stephens resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10616, drawn Monday 18 July 2022.

The winning woman was already aware of her good fortune before speaking to officials from The Lott this afternoon.

“I’m shaking! I’m in shock! My daughter is here with me and she’s telling me to sit down!” the winning woman exclaimed.

“I just got to my daughter’s house. I told her I’d missed a call, so we checked my ticket!

“When I saw the amount, I told her that this couldn’t be real – I couldn’t believe it.

“I think the most I’ve ever won on a lottery had three figures.

“I never expected to win anything like this!

“I am still in shock!

“First, I have some payments I need to finalise, and I think I’m going to put a deposit on my own little place and share with my kids and grandkids.

“I have beautiful parents that I’d love to give back to as well.

“I can’t thank you enough.

“Thank you so much.”

The winning entry of two consecutive numbers was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $12.29 million for draw 1582, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $19.05 million for draw 10618.

In 2021, 127 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $32.95 million.

During this time, the biggest Lucky Lotteries prize was won by a Coolangatta man who a Mega Jackpot prize of $9.41 million in May.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.
