A North Ipswich man has confessed he didn’t sleep a wink on Saturday night after the bedtime revelation he’d become a Saturday Gold Lotto multi-millionaire.
The Queenslander held one of the eight division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4621 on Saturday 1 November 2025. Each division one winning entry pocketed $2.5 million.
“I checked my ticket on Saturday night. I sat down with the wife, and we just kept checking and checking,” the stunned winner explained when speaking to an official from The Lott.
“I kept thinking it must be a joke or a prank. It’s absolutely crazy! I sat up until 3am just checking the ticket over and over. I just didn’t believe it was real.
“I keep saying to my wife – even though it’s been confirmed, we still won’t believe it’s really true until we see it in the bank account.
“I was meant to do a few things today, but I just can’t concentrate.
“You know, I only bought this ticket on Saturday at the last minute and went for a QuickPick. I didn’t use birthdays or anniversaries as I normally do. I just went with a QuickPick and I’m glad I did!
“It will pay off the house. We’ve also always talked about helping family and friends… and now we can.
“I might have a nap and then grab a bottle of champagne to celebrate.”
The man’s winning 18-game QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4621 on 1 November 2025 were 42, 31, 21, 28, 17 and 13, while the supplementary numbers were 36 and 15.
Across Australia, there were eight division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4621 – three each in Victoria and New South Wales, and one each in Queensland and Western Australia.
