A Rothwell man says he’s ready to give to those who truly need it after winning more than $1.3 million in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
The Queenslander held one of four division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4279, drawn Saturday 23 July 2022, and takes home a total prize of $1,365,127.92.
Speaking with an official from The Lott this morning, the winning man shared the incredible win was life-changing.
“I’m extremely grateful for the win because it really means I can donate more to the many charities that I’ve supported over the years,” he shared.
“It will certainly change my life, but I hope it changes many other people’s lives too.
“I’d been playing the same numbers for 25 years and nothing had worked, so I recently changed it up.
“I tell you what, I’m glad I did now!
“I’ll donate it, save it, and invest it. I think those are the smart things to do.
“My life ambition now is to win it again! Wouldn’t that be something?
“Thank you so much. This is an incredible feeling.”
The generous man’s winning marked 10-game entry was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4279 on 23 July 2022 were 2, 40, 38, 32, 24, 20, while the supplementary numbers were 31 and 5.
Across Australia, there were four division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4279 – two in Queensland and one each in South Australia and Victoria.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 255 so far this calendar year, including 58 won by Golden Casket customers.
In 2021, Saturday Gold Lotto created 210 millionaires across Australia.
During this time, there were 351 division one winning in Saturday Gold Lotto entries across Australia, which collectively won more than $499.8 million.
