A mother and son duo from inner-city Brisbane have discovered there’s no better way to bond than sharing and almost $6 million Saturday Gold Lotto win.

Confirming their life-changing win with an official from The Lott this morning, the stunned mum explained the pair were still in a state of shock.

“At first glance, I thought I’d won $5,000, but then no, it was more than $5 million!
“It felt so surreal to see that on my phone screen.
“So good but so surreal. I was in shock at first, but good shock!
“I bought the ticket with my son, so it’s just perfect. We will be sharing the prize straight down the middle.
“It’s certainly still sinking in, but now the news has been confirmed we can start celebrating!”
When asked how she thought they might enjoy their multi-million-dollar prize, the Brisbane woman explained it would make a huge difference to both their lives.
“I’m going to study something I’m really passionate about and go into a different job,” she declared.
“I’ve always wanted to go back and study.
“It will be so nice to own my own home, and that’s certainly possible now!
“And for my son, he’s only young and I have no doubt he will invest it really wisely and set himself up for life.
“It’s incredible!”
