A Cairns resident or visitor is poised to receive a boost to their bank account, but first, they need to check their Saturday Gold Lotto ticket and discover their $1 million division one win.
The elusive player held one of the five division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4359, drawn Saturday 29 April 2023. Each entry took home $1,052,589.23.
However, the winning entry was not registered to a player card, which means officials from The Lott have no way of contacting the ticketholder and must wait for them to check their ticket.
The winning entry was purchased at Stratford General Store, 3-5 Kamerunga Road, Stratford.
Stratford General Store owner Craig Gundersen said he would be celebrating his outlet’s first-ever division one win all week.
“I couldn’t really believe it when I found out we’d sold a division one winning entry,” he exclaimed.
“The community is abuzz with speculation as to who the winner could be. It is just so exciting to see our small community all so genuinely excited and happy that we have had a division one winner. We have had so many words of congratulations on social media.
“I am so happy that one of our customers purchased the winning entry and would love to congratulate them and wish them all the best.”
The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said he hoped the region’s latest division one winner would check their ticket and come forward soon.
“This winner is likely oblivious that they became a millionaire over the long weekend,” he said.
“We’re urging anyone who purchased a Saturday Gold Lotto ticket from Stratford General Store to check their tickets today!
“How exciting would it be to discover you’ve won more than a million dollars? It would be an unforgettable moment!

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4359 on 29 April 2023 were 4, 18, 15, 16, 45 and 35, while the supplementary numbers were 17 and 11.
Across Australia, there were five division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4359 – two each in Queensland and Victoria, and one in Western Australia.
