We’re on the hunt for two Melbourne players who each scored $1.25 million in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw – they just don’t know it yet.

There were 16 division one winning entries across Australia in TattsLotto draw 4243 on Saturday 19 March 2002. Each scored a division one prize of $1.25 million.

Both of the Melbourne division one winning entries were unregistered, which means officials from The Lott have no way of reaching out to the winners and must wait for them to come forward to claim their prize.

The first division one winning entry was purchased at Footscray Lucky Lotto, Shop 2 66 Nicholson Street, Footscray.

Footscray Lucky Lotto owner Hai Truong said he was on the hunt for his winning customer.

“We were excited to find out that we’d sold the winning ticket. We called friends and families that we knew had bought tickets from our outlet to check if they’d won,” he said.

“We still haven’t found the winner – but we’re hoping they discover the news soon.

“We’ll be celebrating this milestone with our customers at the outlet. They’re so excited for us, especially considering we only took over the outlet two years ago and then COVID hit, which kept our outlet shut most of the pandemic.

“This is our first division one winning entry since taking over the outlet, so it’s a milestone moment.

“I want to congratulate the winner and thank them for purchasing their ticket at our outlet. We are so happy to have sold the winning ticket, and we are ecstatic for the winner as well.”

The second division one winning entry was purchased at Swanston Street Lotto, Shop 3 227 Collins Street, Melbourne.

Swanston Street Lotto owner Yuan Wu said he was eager to unite his winner with their prize.

“We’ve been operating for more than 30 years, and we always get excited to sell a division one winning entry,” he said.

“We’ve been busy checking all our customers’ tickets, and we’ve been spreading the news of our winner. We hope they discover the news soon!

“This is such a life-changing win, and we can’t wait to do it again.”

The Lott spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said the two Victorians were only a life-changing phone call away from becoming newly minted millionaires.

“How exciting would it be to discover you’ve won $1 million. There’d be no better mid-week surprise than that!” she said.

“Imagine if the TattsLotto ticket sitting in your back pocket, tucked in your purse or under a magnet on your fridge is worth $1.25 million!

“There are one million reasons why you should check your tickets today. All you need to do is visit our website at thelott.com, scan your ticket on The Lott app or head to one of our friendly outlets to find out if you are our winner.

“The next step is to give us a call on 131 868 if you think you are holding that winning entry. If you are the mystery winner, we are searching for that phone call that is guaranteed to be life-changing!”

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4243 on 19 March 2022 were 32, 24, 43, 38, 10 and 34, while the supplementary numbers were 6 and 25.

Across Australia, there were 16 division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4243 – nine from Victoria, three from Queensland, two from New South Wales and one each from Western Austalia and South Australia.
