After a tough couple of weeks, a Sans Souci woman has experienced an outpour of joyful emotions upon discovering she’d won $100,000 in today’s Lucky Lotteries draw.

The South Sydney resident held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10868, drawn Tuesday 20 August 2024 and pocketed a total prize of $100,000.

The cheery woman was working from home when she received the life-enhancing phone call from lottery officials at The Lott.

“Oh wow! That’s amazing!” the winning woman cried.

“I can’t believe that!

“I’ve been having the most rotten time recently and this is just amazing news.

“I’ve been waiting for this!

“I’m completely shocked! I thought this might’ve been a prank call at first.

“My heart is beating so fast, and I can’t hold back the flood of tears.

“We’ve been trying to save for a house deposit, so this will be a huge boost to our funds.

“I can’t wait to celebrate with my daughter and husband!

“I’m so amazed. Thank you!”

The winning woman’s entry of five random numbers was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $1.96 million for draw 1686, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now over $3.75 million for draw 10869.

In 2023, 117 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $20.6 million.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.

Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.

The official home of Australia’s lotteries, The Lott operates and markets Australia’s leading lottery games customers know and love creating everyday winners, winning every day.

In 2023, more than 122.7 million wins took home more than $3.76 billion in prize money from their favourite games at The Lott, including Saturday Lotto, Weekday WindfallPowerballOz LottoSet for LifeLucky LotteriesKeno (SA)Super 66Lotto Strike and Instant Scratch-Its.

Last financial year, Australia’s official lotteries contributed more than $1.6 billion via state lottery taxes and donations to help community initiatives, such as hospitals, health research, disaster relief and education
