An Albury man’s quiet Monday morning has been turned on its head after he discovered he’d won more than $700,000 in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.
The New South Wales resident held one of the eight division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4369, drawn Saturday 3 June 2023, and took home $718,346.56.
“Oh my god! Oh my god! Is this real?” he asked when an official from The Lott called to confirm his windfall.
“I thought you were going to say I’d won something like $10,000. I never expected anything like this!
“Honestly mate, my wife is sitting here with her arm around my shoulder, and she might pull my head off if she squeezes any tighter.
“This is a s***load of money!
“I’ve always wondered what it would feel like to win division one. Turns out it’s pretty amazing.”
When asked how he planned to spend his new-found fortune, the winning man admitted what happened next was out of his hands.
“Oh, I’ll just give it to my wife and she can sort it all out,” he laughed.
“We’ve got children and grandchildren, so they’ll all get some and hopefully we can do something to set them up for the future.
“Then we might even organise a trip overseas. It’s going to take some time to sink in that we’ve won this much money, honestly.
“Thank you so much, this has changed our life.”
The winning man’s System 8 QuickPick entry was purchased at NewsXpress Lavington Square Cards & Gifts, SP004, Lavington Square, 351 Griffith Road, Lavington.
NewsXpress Lavington Square Cards & Gifts manager Rebecca Taylor said the whole team was over the moon for their winning customer.
“It’s been a couple of years in between wins for us so it’s a fantastic feeling to know we’ve sold another division one winning entry,” she said.
“We’re ecstatic. Honestly, the whole team is over the moon and we hope the winner has had a lovely Monday morning following their win.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4369 on 3 June 2023 were 41, 37, 26, 1, 12 and 24, while the supplementary numbers were 25 and 45.
Across Australia, there were eight division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4369 – Two each in Queensland, Victoria and South Australia and one each in New South Wales and Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 183 so far in 2023, including 61 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In 2022, Saturday Lotto created 171 millionaires across Australia.
During this time, there were 330 division one winning in Saturday Lotto entries across Australia that collectively won more than $456.6 million.
