Twenty years after winning division one, a Jordan Springs man has scored the coveted prize for the second time in his life, describing his Monday & Wednesday Lotto win as mind-blowing.
The Sydney winner held one of the three division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4043, drawn Wednesday 13 January 2021. Each division one winning entry scored $1,000,000.
Confirming his win with an official from The Lott this morning, the man couldn’t quite believe his good fortune.
“Are you kidding me?” he began to question.
“My goodness. You’re joking?
“Wow. Thank you.
“That sounds great! That’s unbelievable.
“I’ve been playing the lottery most of my life and you probably wouldn’t believe it, but I won division one around 20 years ago!
“I think it was $200,000 and that was a lot of money back then.
“This is incredible. I never thought lightning would strike twice.
“Wow. My goodness. My heart is running at about 300 miles an hour!”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his million-dollar windfall, the Sydney dad said retirement would begin almost immediately.
“I am so close to retiring so this is awesome. Absolutely awesome!” he laughed.
“I won’t be working for much longer by the looks of it. I’ll be handing in my notice real soon!
“This one is for the children though, I will be able to all help them out a little bit.”
The winning entry was purchased at Jordan Springs Newsagency, Shop 4, Woolworths Jordan Springs, 61 – 63 Watergum Drive, Jordan Springs.
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4043 on Wednesday 13 January 2021 were 5, 38, 25, 14, 43 and 13, while the supplementary numbers were 31 and 7.
Across Australia, there were three division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4043 – one each from Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 239 so far this financial year, including 66 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
