A Kings Meadows woman has scored Tasmania’s fifth division one win in just four weeks after snagging a division one prize of $802,000 in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The woman held one of the five division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3949 on Saturday 25 May 2019. Each winning entry takes home a division one prize of $790,203.64.

As well as scoring the coveted division one prize, the thrilled winner’s Systed 8 marked entry also won division three 12 times and division four 15 times bolstering her total prize to $802,775.59.

The woman’s prize is the eighth division one winning entry to land in Tasmania so far this year, and the fifth division one winning entry from the state in May.

Sharing her joy with a Tatts official this morning to confirm her prize, the Tasmanian shared she had been playing the same numbers for decades.

“Wahoo! Thank you! That’s pretty cool!” she exclaimed.

“I checked my numbers online on Sunday morning and I thought ‘is this for real?’.

“There was no one home at the time to double check so I went to get the paper and saw the numbers were the same in there.

“I recognised them straight away because I have been playing the same numbers for years and years.

“There are a few birthdates in there but I started playing them so long ago now I can’t even remember why the others were special.”

When asked how she planned to spend her TattsLotto windfall, the woman revealed she wouldn’t be retiring any time soon.

“You’ve called me while I am on the way to work!” she laughed.

“I’ll still go in because I have no idea right now how I’m going to spend my win!”

The thrilled woman also confessed that her celebrations of the win were pretty quiet.

“We just went out for dinner with our immediate family. We wanted to keep it low key,” she explained.

“They were so happy for us when we told them. There were a few happy tears!”

The overjoyed winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her System 8 marked entry at Meadow Mews News & Lotto, shop 16 Meadow Mews Shopping Centre, 102-106 Hobart Road, Kings Meadows.

It is the second division one prize Meadow Mews News & Lotto has sold this month, after a division one winning TattsLotto entry purchased at their store scored a prize worth $573,863.51 in draw 3949 on 4 May 2019.

In 2018, Monday & Wednesday Lotto and TattsLotto created 194 millionaires across Australia.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3949 on Saturday 25 May 2019 were 1, 11, 35, 44, 29 and 18, while the supplementary numbers were 28 and 38.

Across Australia, there were five division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 3949, one each from New South Wales, Tasmania and Victoria and two from Western Australia.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 142 so far this calendar year, including 68 won by Tatts customers.

In the 12 months to 31 December 2018, there were 280 division one winning TattsLotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $306.19 million.
