A Yeppoon woman’s start to the week has spun a complete 180, turning from gloomy to golden when after she uncovered her incredible $1.3 million win in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
The Central Queenslander held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4531, drawn Saturday 21 December 2024. She looks forward to $1,350,452.62.
Central Queensland has celebrated 12 major lottery wins in 2024, with players collectively taking home over $60.27 million in prize money.
The merry woman started her Monday morning completely stunned by the revelation she was a newly-minted millionaire.
“Oh my god. Really?” she questioned.
“I’m in shock. What a surprise. We’ve had a bad start to this week. We’ve gotten sick and won’t be able to see family for Christmas, so this has really lifted our spirits.
“I had absolutely no idea about the win. Oh my god.
“I usually mark my own numbers but because we were away from home for a bit, I decided to just grab a QuickPick entry.
“We’ll have to make some phone calls today!”
With $1.3 million set to reshape her New Year plans, the generous grandmother revealed she planned to spread the joy by sharing her prize with family near and far.
“I don’t have an exact idea, but one thing I know for sure is that I’ll be sharing the prize with family,” she said.
“Thank you so much.”
Her winning 12-game QuickPick was purchased on The Lott website – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4531 on 21 December 2024 were 44, 27, 38, 18 9 and 25, while the supplementary numbers were 23 and 7.
Across Australia, there were four division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4531 – two in Victoria and one each in Queensland and Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 225 so far in FY25, including 65 won by Golden Casketcustomers.
In FY24, Saturday Gold Lotto created 158 millionaires across Australia.
