Two good friends from Lake Cathie are already in celebration mode after discovering they are $200,000 richer from the latest Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The private syndicate held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1113, drawn Friday 27 July 2018.
When a NSW Lotteries official contacted the winner this morning to confirm the win, the two friends couldn’t contain their excitement.
“Woo-hoo!,” the winning man screamed.
“It’s absolutely terrific.
“Thank you very much. We love ya babe!
“It’s actually my birthday next week, so it’s a happy birthday to me!
“Lucky Lotteries is the only game I play – I love it. I am so glad we bought entries for this draw.”
The best friends shared that travel was on the horizon after their Lucky Lotteries win.
“It’s going to make a world of difference for us, it’s amazing!” he said.
“It’s going to make life so much easier, its life enhancing.
“We will definitely plan a few holidays, we just have to decide where to go.
“My wife is not here now, but I can’t wait to tell her, she’s going to get a huge surprise. I bet she’s glad I bought this ticket.”
When asked how they planned to celebrate, the man revealed the friends were already toasting the win.
“I am in this with a friend of mine and she’s here right now, and we’ve just cracked a beer mate!
“We don’t ever drink before five, but now we have something to celebrate.
“We are definitely going to go out for dinner tonight, we will get some Chinese probably.”
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of two random numbers from Bonny View Store, 923 Ocean Drive, Bonny Hills.
Bonny View Store owner Hari Padmanabha said the store was excited to have sold a 1st Prize winning entry.
“We are ecstatic about the win and we are really happy for our winner,” he said.
“We are excited because it is the first big win for our shop!
“We hope that it’s the start of a winning streak.”
Last financial year, 113 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions won more than $23.57 million. During this time, the biggest individual jackpot prize was won by a young Inner-West Sydney man, who took home $6.87 million.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $16.12 million for draw 1114 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $1.02 million for draw 10239.
