A Lake Macquarie woman who won $100,000 took a little longer to discover her life-enhancing lottery prize after her husband declined the winning call from The Lott.

The Hunter Region resident held the guaranteed $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10521, drawn Monday 24 January 2022.

Speaking with an official from The Lott this morning, the euphoric winner admitted she was still trying to comprehend the thrilling news.

“This is so exciting! What a way to start the new year!” she cheered.

“I was working from home this morning when I received an email and a text message from you. At first, I thought it was a scam, but then I looked up The Lott number and it matched.

“That’s when I knew it was legitimate. I raced to open The Lott app to check my Lucky Lotteries entry and I discovered I’d won $100,000!

“I told my husband straight away, who seemed to have declined the winning call yesterday after also thinking it was a scam!

“I seem to attract telemarketing and scam calls all the time, so I’m not surprised!”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her windfall, the New South Wales woman said she had a couple of ideas.

“I’ve been brainstorming the past hour, and I’ve got some ideas. I’d like to buy a new car and maybe purchase a new property to build a house,” she shared.

“How wonderful! Thank you so much.”

Her winning entry of four random numbers was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $6.520 million for draw 10522, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $6.61 million for draw 10522.

In the 12 months to 30 June 2021, 136 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $46.09 million.
