Almost three weeks after the draw a Lane Cove woman has come forward to claim her $102,000 Lucky Lotteries prize, admitting she was too shocked to come forward earlier.

The New South Wales player won the 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10391, drawn Friday 3 July 2020.

As well as winning the 1st Prize, the Sydney woman also won a consolation prize of $2,000 boosting her total win to $102,000.

Although the entry was registered to a Players Club card, officials from the Lott had been unable to deliver the life-changing news. Today the winner came forward to collect her prize.

Speaking with an official from the Lott this morning, the delighted woman said she was struggling to come to terms with the news of her win.

“I got a letter telling me I had won!” she explained.

“My son was with me, and I read it out to him, but for some reason, I thought the prize was shared between lots of people.

“So my son read it, and he just looked at me and said ‘No mum, I think you’ve won the lot!’.

“I was absolutely shocked.

“I have never won anything! It was just amazing!

“I just could not believe it. I gave my son a big hug and we were both just so happy.

“I was honestly gobsmacked for several days after I’d discovered I won, which is why I took a while to come forward.”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her prize, the jubilant woman said she’d been busy planning.

“I went home and had a big chat with my husband about the prize and what to do with it,” she shared.

“We desperately need to renovate our house, so that’s the first thing we will do.

“Once we can travel overseas again we would love to go on holiday too. Not a cheap one like we usually do!”

The winning entry of ten random numbers was purchased at Lane Cove Newsagency, 21 Burns Bay Road, Lane Cove.

Lane Cove Newsagency owner Bo Xia said she couldn’t be happier for her winner.

“We are really, really happy for our winner,” she said.

“We are so grateful she chose to purchase a ticket at our outlet, and we are so glad she has had a major prize win.

“Hopefully it can really make a difference to her life, and she can do some incredible things with her prize.

“It’s lovely to hear of one of our customers winning, especially during times like these.

“We have sold some major prizes in the past but we were certainly due for another. Hopefully, there are more big wins coming for our customers.”

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $5.08 million for draw 1494 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $2.06 million for draw 10396.
