A Largs Bay man is ready to race down to his local car yard and drive away with a brand-new vehicle after wheeling in a $150,000 Keno 9 Spot win.
The South Australian scored the $150,000 Keno Spot 9 jackpot in draw 221012323, drawn Wednesday 12 October 2022.
Confirming his exhilarating win with lottery officials today, the elated man shared it was the most he’s ever won in his entire lifetime.
“I was absolutely stunned,” he shared.
“I play Keno on a regular basis, and this is the most I’ve ever taken home.
“To win $100 on Keno is fantastic, but to win $150,000 is next level.
“My wife and I have already celebrated this moment. It’s pretty great!
“This is a brilliant boost to our future plans, and now that I’m retired, I’ll also look to retire my car – the old beast has been running for 15 years!
“We can’t wait to live more comfortably and drive around in the new car!
“Thank you so much.”
His winning entry was purchased at Alpine Deli, 392 Military Road, Largs Bay.
Alpine Deli owner Phong Ho said the winning news is wonderful for the local community and their team couldn’t be happier to have sold the winning ticket.
“It’s very good! It’s been about three or four years since we’ve last sold a major lottery or Keno winning entry, so we can’t wait to mark this one as the start of a winning streak,” he said.
“I can just imagine the winning man is on cloud nine after taking home $150,000. It would certainly help him achieve some plans he had in mind.
“Congratulations to the winner and we hope you enjoy your prize for years to come.”
In FY22, there were more than 4.58 million Keno wins across South Australia worth more than $97.6 million. This included 36 Keno Spot 8, 9 and 10 winners across South Australia who scored more than $7.27 million.
