A Laurieton family has this afternoon answered the phone to the news they won $100,000 in the latest Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.
The New South Wales entry won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10287, drawn Tuesday 7 May 2019.
The winning ticket also won a consolation prize of $1,000, rounding up the syndicate’s total win to $101,000.
A NSW Lotteries official had the pleasure of breaking the exciting news to the syndicate leader this afternoon.
“Are you for real?” he questioned.
“You beauty! Thank you for such an exciting phone call!
“This is lovely news.
“We’ve been running this little family syndicate for about 40 years with my wife and two adult children.
“I think they’ll be rapt when I tell them we’ve won $100,000!
“I don’t know what we will spend it on but it all helps, doesn’t it!
“I’ll have to go break the news to the rest of the family.”
The winning entry was purchased at Eggins Laurieton Newsagency, 72 Bold Street, Laurieton.
Eggins Laurieton Newsagency manager Cathy Logan said the win is creating an exciting buzz in Laurieton.
“This is extremely exiting for our lovely little coastal town,” she said.
“I’ve always said it’s just as exciting selling a winning ticket as it would be to win it yourself.
“We haven’t had a big win in a few years so this is great news.
“We wish this local family all the best!”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $61.48 million for draw 1303 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $890,000 for draw 10288.
