A Prahran man is looking forward to fulfilling his dream of moving interstate and buying a block of land near the beach after becoming an overnight Monday Lotto millionaire.
The happy winner held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4026, drawn Monday 16 November 2020 and takes home a division one prize of $1 million.
Confirming his win with an official from The Lott this morning, the overjoyed man explained he’d just popped out to pick up the paper and had no idea he’d won division one.
“Oh, thank you,” he laughed.
“I am great! I am very happy.
“I can’t believe it; I am a millionaire, a millionaire!
“I will definitely celebrate. I will take my wife out for a nice dinner tonight.
“I can’t wait to tell my wife. She’s at work now, so I will wait until she comes home this afternoon and break the news to her then.”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his prize, the stoked bloke said he had a few ideas.
“I am finally going to move interstate! There’s a block of land right near the water that I have been dreaming of buying and now I can!” he answered immediately.
“We would also like to retire in a few years, so it will go towards our retirement too.”
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning marked 50-game entry at Prahran Market Lotto, Shop 817, 183 Commercial Road, Prahran.
Prahran Market Lotto owner Anna Lim said she couldn’t be happier for her million-dollar winner.
“We are very excited and happy! I only just took over this business in February this year,” she said.
“We are going to put some banners up and pop a bottle of champagne with the staff.
“Our customers will be so excited when they hear the news.
“We’d love to send our congratulations to our winner and hope his day is filled with happiness and celebration.”
Last financial year, Monday & Wednesday Lotto created 86 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4026 on Monday 16 November 2020 were 3, 26, 12, 40, 16 and 27 while the supplementary numbers were 8 and 11.
Across Australia, there were four division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4026 – one each from Victoria, Tasmania, New South Wales and Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 156 so far during FY21, including 65 won by Tatts customers.
Between 1 July 2019 and 30 June 2020, there were 101 division one winning Monday & Wednesday Lotto entries across Australia, which collectively won $98 million.
