Budgewoi bonanza! Local retiree becomes fourth $100,000 Lucky Lotteries winner from Budgewoi during past month!

A merry man from Budgewoi has become the fourth resident of the Central Coast suburb to score a $100,000 Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize during the past 30 days.

The New South Wales resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10565, drawn Wednesday 4 May 2022.

Precisely one month ago, a Budgewoi woman scored $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10549 on Monday 4 April 2022.

Two Budgewoi men also won $100,000 – the first in draw 10559, drawn Friday 22 April 2022, and the other in draw 10560, drawn Tuesday 26 April 2022.

Straight after today’s draw, an official from The Lott dialled the region’s latest winner, a recent retiree who was patiently waiting for his wife to finish her gym class and was completely oblivious to his winning news.

“You’re kidding me! Wow, oh, wow!” he cheered.

“This is so exciting! I’m in a state of shock.

“Funnily enough, my wife is about to hop into the car, and she will be so confused with what’s going on. I don’t think she will believe it.

“I’ve been persistently playing for about 40 years – ever since we used to write the lottery tickets out.

“I’ll have to get all the adult children together and celebrate as a family. Mother’s Day is right around the corner, so this has come just in time.”

The gleeful winner knew precisely what he wanted to do with his $100,000 prize.

“I’ve recently retired, and we’ve travelled around Australia, so it will be nice to spend some time on the house and renovate,” he shared.

His winning entry of one random number was purchased at Budgewoi Newsagency, 77 Scenic Drive, Budgewoi.

Budgewoi Newsagency owner Venu Kunamneni said he was ecstatic to have sold his third Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot since taking ownership of the store seven months ago.

“We can’t believe we’ve sold another 1st Prize in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw with one only being two weeks apart,” he said.

“Our customers do love purchasing tickets into the Lucky Lotteries draws, and we love seeing Central Coast customers being crowned as winners.

“Congratulations to the 1st Prize winner and we wish them all the best. We hope the winning streak continues!”

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $9.65 million for draw 1571, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $12.35 million for draw 10566.

In 2021, 127 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $32.95 million.

During this time, the biggest Lucky Lotteries prize was won by a Coolangatta man who a Mega Jackpot prize of $9.41 million in May.
