Sixteen Brisbane Northsiders will be sporting winning smiles this week after their long-standing group syndicate entry scored division one in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.

The group syndicate entry was one of the ten division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3877 on 15 September 2018. Each entry takes home the division one prize of $408,233.50.

In addition to winning division one, the Brisbane Northside syndicate’s 3-game system 9 and 3-game system 8 entry also won division three 18 times, division four 45 times and division six 20 times, bolstering the syndicate’s total prize to $428,376.56.

Each member of the Brisbane Northside syndicate receives a share of $26,773.52.

Golden Casket spokesperson Bronnie Spencer said some syndicate members held unregistered entries and may have yet to discover their winning news.

“What a great way to start your working week – discovering you’ve pocketed tens of thousands of dollars!” she said.

“While we’ll be reaching out to those syndicate members who registered their entry to their Winners Circle cards, there are several syndicate members who have unregistered entries and may not yet know they’re part of this winning group.

“If you purchased a share in a syndicate for the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw, today’s the day to check it!  If you discover you’re holding a winning share, call Golden Casket on 131 868 to start the prize claim process!”

The winning group syndicate entry was set up by Nextra Aspley Village, Shop 4, Aspley Village Shopping Centre, 605 Robinson Road, Aspley, while several shares were sold at Zillmere Newsagency, 18 Handford Road, Zillmere.

Nextra Aspley Village owner Maureen Beutel, said she was thrilled a long-standing syndicate had taken home a division one prize.

“We must have been playing that syndicate every week for 12 years or more,” she explained.

“Many of our winners are locals that come in every week and so we’ve got to know them quite well.

“I’m just so pleased for them all as they are very loyal people. This syndicate has never had a big win but they’ve stuck with it for over 12 years.

“There are a couple of entries we don’t know, but we hope they come forward soon so we can share the exciting news!”
