A Lysterfield dad has thanked ‘perfect timing’ for scoring him a division one win worth over $410,000 in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.
The Victorian player held one of the 12 division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4051 on Saturday 16 May 2020. Each entry won a division one prize of $410,606.71.
Speaking to an official from the Lott this morning, the ecstatic man explained how he came to hold the winning numbers.
“Thank you, thank you! You’ve made my day!” he exclaimed.
“This is the first time I’ve ever played these numbers. They are my kids’ birthdates and ages.
“I play pretty regularly and change between playing online and buying a ticket in-store.
“I hadn’t had a chance to get to a store by Saturday so thought I’d quickly put an entry in online.
“I used those dates to play four games. I can’t believe I won off only four games.
“I only put the ticket on a few minutes before the draw close. I can’t believe the timing!”
The thrilled winner revealed he’d already been celebrating the win with the family members who inspired the numbers.
“I checked my ticket first thing Sunday morning, and the first thing I did was tell the kids!” he laughed.
“We had a really fun day yesterday celebrating all together. It was great the restrictions had lifted a little so we could spend some time together.”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his windfall, the happy man revealed there was another reason why the win was especially welcomed at this time.
“We’ve just broken ground on the new house we are building,” he explained.
“It has come at the perfect time for that. We’ll be able to upgrade to a few of the premium features and not have to take out such a big loan to pay for it.
“It’s just great. Couldn’t have worked out better!”
The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his marked 4-game entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4051 on Saturday 16 May 2020 were 17, 26, 16, 11, 4 and 19, while the supplementary numbers were 15 and 25.
Across Australia, there were 12 division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4051 – four from Victoria, three from Queensland, two from South Australia and one each from New South Wales, the Northern Territory and Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 131 so far this calendar year, including 50 won by Tatts customers.
