A Malvern East woman is trying to decide whether she should go back to work after discovering she won a $756,000 TattsLotto prize while on her lunch break.
The Victorian held one of the eight division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4171 on Saturday 10 July 2021. Each division one winning entry scored $756,133.42.
When an official from The Lott called the Melbourne woman, she had absolutely no idea her life had changed forever, thanks to her division one win.
“I am absolutely gobsmacked! Is this real?” she laughed.
“I kept seeing an unknown number calling me, which I never answer. But you were so persistent, so I thought I better pick up.
“Thank god I did! This is better than I ever imagined.
“It’s absolutely amazing! What are the chances!
“I am a little blank to be honest. I don’t know how to feel or what to think.
“My mind is running a mile a minute trying to think of the next steps, but nothing is coming up!
“I am so overwhelmed! What do I do? Do I go back to work? Do I celebrate instead?
“Bloody hell! I just can’t get over this! All I keep thinking about are the odds of something like this happening.
“It’s insane! It’s just the most incredible thing.
“I think I am going to have to invite my family over tonight to break the exciting news and celebrate with a nice bottle of champagne.”
When asked how she planned to enjoy her division one win, the generous winner thought of her family first.
“I hope to be able to use most of it to help my family, to be honest,” she admitted.
“That’s really the extent of it, I think!
“I don’t know what else I will do with it, but it will certainly come in handy.
“It’s hard to think about what to do with money you never thought you’d have! It’s a lovely bonus.”
