A Marrickville man is a step closer to retirement today after discovering he won $200,000 in the latest Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The Sydney resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1435, drawn Wednesday 21 August 2019.
Confirming his win with a NSW Lotteries official this morning, the winner revealed he’d had an unexpected start to his day.
“Thank you kindly,” he laughed.
“It feels good to hear that I’ve won $200,000. That’s a lovely prize, a very nice prize.
“I went to the newsagency to check my ticket early this morning and they told me the prize was too big to be paid out.
“I didn’t realise it would be this big! What a great way to start the day.”
The hardworking Sydneysider said his unexpected windfall would be the perfect boost to his retirement fund.
“I’m quite close to retirement and this is certainly going to speed my plans along,” he shared.
“I’ll put it aside for now and then really enjoy it when I retire.”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry at Double J Lotteries, 191 Marrickville Road, Marrickville.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $93.64 million for draw 1437 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $3.36 million for draw 10307.
