A man from the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne has declared his $1 million Monday & Wednesday Lotto division one win would ‘make life easy’.
The Victorian player held the only division one winning entry nationally in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3934, drawn Monday 30 December 2019 and takes home the guaranteed division one prize of $1 million.
Sharing his joy with a Tatts official this morning, the hardworking man revealed despite becoming an overnight millionaire he was still at work today.
“I checked my ticket late last night on the app and saw that I had won,” he explained.
“It was a bit of a shock really. I’m still shaking.
“Do you think I could sleep after that shock? It’s a good shock!
“I think I only got to sleep about 2:30am but I had to get up at 5am for work.
“I’m at work at the moment on my tea break but I think I’m going to hit a brick wall soon and need a 15-hour sleep to recover!
“It’s just unreal. It’s probably going to take a few months for the news to sink in.”
When asked how he planned to enjoy life as a millionaire, the stoked bloke said he was going to make life easier for himself.
“I’m going to buy a house I think!” he declared immediately.
“I’ll put some in my superannuation, then maybe get a new car.
“I’m going to try and make life a bit easier for myself! After buying a house, all I will have to work for is my superannuation and paying for holidays.
“That’s what I play for! I’ve always said it would be a nice bonus on top.
“It’s going to be a bit of fun going house shopping I reckon!
“Last night when I couldn’t sleep, I just kept checking the Lott app, then switched to the realestate.com.au app, then back to the Lott app to check it was real, then back to the real estate app.”
The happy winner revealed the unique way he chose the marked numbers that scored him the division one win.
“Every week I play the same four numbers on my system seven entry, and change up the other three numbers,” he explained.
“The first four are random numbers I chose one day while I was playing golf, the rest change every week.
“My mum always said to make sure I include some numbers higher than 30 and I’m glad I did as they are the ones that won me the big one.
“She will be stoked her advice came good!
“I’ve had five numbers in the past and was gutted I missed out by one number, so it was an amazing feeling to see that sixth number come up!”
The regular player, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning System 7 marked entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.

The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3934 on Monday 30 December 2019 were 36, 5, 18, 32, 7 and 34 while the supplementary numbers were 13 and 2.
