A hard-working Yulara grandmother is looking forward to putting her feet up and retiring after scoring a $1 million division one prize in Monday Lotto.

The overjoyed woman held the only division one winning entry across Australia in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3916, drawn Monday 28 October 2019 and takes home the guaranteed division one prize of $1 million.

As well as winning the coveted division one prize, the ecstatic winner’s System 7 QuickPick entry also won division three 6 times bolstering her total prize to $1,003,190.20.

Sharing her joy with a Tatts official this morning, the regular player was walking into work when she received the life-changing phone call.

“I’m shaking like a leaf! Oh my god! Have I really won one million dollars?” she exclaimed.

“Oh my god! Thank you so much! You don’t know how much this will change my life.

“I’ve struggled all my life and I got home from work last night and I thought to myself ‘all I want to do is retire’.

“I’ve played Monday and Wednesday Lotto for years. Probably since it started.

“Thank you so much! I just can’t believe it! I’m so excited! I don’t know how I am going to go to work today but I will because I won’t be doing it much longer.”

When asked how she planned to enjoy life as a newly-minted millionaire the overjoyed woman confessed she was looking forward to getting a new set of wheels.

“I will retire so I can spend more time with my children and grandchild. I also want to help them out as much as I can,” she said.

“I am definitely going to do something for myself though. I’m going to buy myself a brand new car. I’ve never owned a new car in my life and my car is falling apart.

“It has just come at a great time as I was so ready to retire!”

The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her System 7 QuickPick entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
