A Melton farmer says he can’t wait to buy himself a new tractor and make some upgrades to his farm after discovering he won $100,000 in the latest Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.
The happy winner held the guaranteed 1st Prize in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10441 drawn Tuesday 9 February and takes home a prize of $100,000.
Speaking with an official from The Lott this morning, the elated man explained he was still trying to comprehend the news of his win.
“Thank you very much!” he laughed.
“It’s good, it’s really good actually.
“It’s still sinking in. It doesn’t feel real yet.
“I received a letter from you yesterday about the win, but I didn’t read it until this morning. After I did read it, I checked the ticket online and that’s when I discovered I’d won.
“I was half asleep at the time, but It certainly woke me up!
“I’ve always dreamt of winning something big. It’s crazy I actually have now!
“I am definitely going to celebrate for lunch and dinner! It’s amazing.”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his windfall, the Melbourne man had one thing in mind.
“I own a farm, so this will go towards the farm,” he explained.
“I might get myself a new tractor and a few other bits and pieces.”
The winning entry of four random numbers was purchased at Melton Lotto & TSG, 293 High Street, Melton.
Melton Lotto & TSG owner Phong Thai said he couldn’t believe he’d sold another major prize winning entry.
“I can’t describe it! It’s so exciting!” he explained.
“Last Saturday I sold a division one winning entry in Lotto and then a division two winning entry in Set for Life.
“Then on Tuesday I sold this winning entry. I got goosebumps when I saw we’d sold another major prize.
“Last year I sold three major prizes and a whole heap of division two winning entries, as well as other prizes, of course.
“We were a lottery hotspot last year and I hope we make the list again this year!
“Everyone calls me Mr Lucky and I am certainly feeling that way now.
“We want to wish our customers the best of luck and we hope they can all experience a major prize win! Nothing would make us happier.”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $5.8 million for draw 1519, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $2.58 million for draw 10442.
