When a young Brunswick West man broke the news to his family that he won $1 million in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw, they started screaming, crying and jumping up and down.

“I found out straight after the draw on Saturday night,” he explained when speaking with an official from The Lott this morning.

“I was so shocked!

“I couldn’t believe it. I was with my mum and sister and I started screaming at them ‘I have won one million dollars! I am a millionaire!’.

“They didn’t believe me at first, but once I showed them my ticket on The Lott app, they realised I wasn’t joking.

“We all started screaming and jumping up and down. They were crying and I was just so happy!

“I think they might be more stoked than me.

“We had some drinks after to celebrate. Honestly, I haven’t slept a wink since then!

“I can’t believe I am a millionaire! I never thought this day would come.

“These past few days have been weird. I keep forgetting I am a millionaire and then I remember again and I get all excited.”

When asked how he intended to enjoy his million-dollar windfall, the Melbourne man said no sleep meant plenty of planning.

“It’s a lot of a money! It’s one million dollars!” he giggled.

“The first thing I will do is pay off my mortgage and give some to my kids.

“I would love to go on a holiday to Greece when we can travel overseas again and I will invest the rest.”
