A Merewether office worker has started the working week $200,000 richer after discovering he won the 1st Prize in today’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The New South Wales player won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1318, drawn Monday 20 May 2019.
Confirming his win with a NSW Lotteries official this afternoon, the winner explained how he discovered his good fortune.
“Wow! Thank you so much,” he laughed.
“It doesn’t feel real at all!
“I was waiting for my lunch at work so I checked my emails and I received an email that said I had won a big prize.
“Then I checked my ticket online and I thought I was losing my mind!
“It seems so bizarre. I never thought I’d actually win!
“I’ve got plenty of reasons to celebrate. This is fantastic!
“I’m a little late for a meeting now and it’s definitely going to be hard to concentrate!”
The godsmacked man said he’d need some time to think of exactly how he’d enjoy his prize.
“I’m not too sure. I need to let the news sink in and sit down and really think about it,” he said.
“I would love to take a holiday somewhere we haven’t been before.
“It would definitely be nice to pay a bit off our mortgage!”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry at BP Hamilton South, 67 Stewart Avenue, Hamilton.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $65.56 million for draw 1320 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $1.15 million for draw 10290.
