Thanks to his $606,000 Saturday X Lotto win, a Mitchell Park man is now ready to retire from work, pack his suitcase, and book a one-way ticket around the world with his wife.
The South Australia held one of the nine division one winning entries in Saturday X Lotto draw 4247 on Saturday 2 April 2022. Each division one winning entry scored $606,096.94.
Speaking with an official from The Lott this afternoon, the overwhelmed winner admitted he was still struggling to comprehend the news.
“I checked my X Lotto ticket about an hour after the draw on Saturday night,” the winning man relayed.
“It was very surreal seeing my division one win. Dreams really do come true!
“I told my wife almost immediately on Saturday, and we were so overwhelmed. It was total disbelief!
“We just kept questioning if it was legit or not. It’s good we know it’s real!
“We had about four hours sleep on Saturday night. It was the most restless night of our lives!
“I was tossing and turning all night. I had butterflies – it was crazy.
“We’re going to call the kids and break the news to them, and then we’ll go out for a nice dinner to celebrate.
“We’ve both been working so hard our whole lives. So, we will use the money to have some fun during our retirement.
“Although it is a bit harder to travel, we’ve always dreamed of doing it after retiring – so it’s what we will do!
“We just want to put our feet up, relax and have some fun.”
The winner purchased his ticket at OTR Mitchell Park, 843 Marion Road, Mitchell Park.

The winning numbers in Saturday X Lotto draw 4247 on 4 April 2022 were 6, 27, 21, 1, 15, 4, while the supplementary numbers were 41 and 19.
Across Australia, there were nine division one winning entries in Saturday X Lotto draw 4247 – four in New South Wales, two in Queensland and one each in Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia.
