The feeling of adrenaline continues for a Mornington woman who is gearing up to use her $100,000 Instant Scratch-Its win to experience the thrills of multiple theme parks in 2024.
Her $5 Christmas Crosswords Instant Scratch-Its was purchased from NewspowerGo Inside Story Mornington, Shop 1-06, Mornington Village Shopping Centre, 241 Main Street, Mornington.
The regular player will forever remember the rollercoaster of emotions when she discovered her $100,000 win at the local newsagency.
“It’s a lovely surprise,” she said.
“I was at the newsagency last Thursday evening and I decided to scratch the ticket while I was there.
“A win of $100,000 came up on the ticket and I let out a few squeals. I couldn’t contain my excitement.
“I gave my mum a call and told her that I thought I’d won $100,000 and she told me to come home because she wanted to see it in person.
“I came home, and we confirmed it then and there. The next morning, I went straight to The Lott head office in Docklands to claim the prize.
“What a way to start the new year, hey?”
With $100,000 boosting her bank account, the Victorian shared she couldn’t wait to use her prize to experience the exhilarating rides and rollercoasters in the Gold Coast.
“I’ve always wanted to go to Queensland and visit the Gold Coast theme parks,” she revealed.
“I’ll probably take my two brothers as well.
“Thank you so much.”
