A Toowoomba man is looking forward to saying goodbye to mortgage repayments after discovering this morning that he won division one in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
The Queenslander held one of the 15 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4157, drawn Saturday 22 May 2021. Each division one winning entry scored $409,991.02.
“This is awesome!” the man exclaimed when confirming his prize with an official from The Lott this morning.
“I just checked my ticket this morning. I was just leaving home for work but saw I had an email from The Lott.
“I checked my ticket, saw I’d won, then I rechecked it and checked it again. It was a bit hard to believe.
“I only play Lotto every now and then, but I play with the same numbers – some are my special numbers. They’re definitely even more special now!
“I guess like a lot of people, we’ll pay off the mortgage. It will be nice to be clear of that. Hopefully, there will be a little left over to do something nice.
“I’m still at work today but it’s pretty good to know the mortgage is gone!
“It’s pretty exciting!”
The man’s winning marked 4-game entry was purchased online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4157 on 22 May 2021 were 23, 9, 27, 7, 13 and 6, while the supplementary numbers were 1 and 33.
Across Australia, there were 15 division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4157 – six from Victoria, three from South Austrlia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 177 so far this calendar year, including 42 won by Golden Casket customers.
