A Mosman man is excitedly planning to indulge in Italy after discovering he won the 1st Prize in today’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The New South Wales resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1308, drawn Monday 13 May 2019.
The man also won a consolation prize of $1,000 boosting his total prize to $201,000.
When a NSW official called the Sydney man this afternoon to break the news, he erupted into laughter.
“Oh my god! I am sorry, I can’t stop laughing,” he said happily.
“God that is good!
“What a good way to start the week! I can’t wait to tell my mum.
“It really is such a shock. I always hoped I’d win, but I never actually thought I would.
“I will buy a nice bottle of champagne and have a few glasses tonight to celebrate!”
The happy man shared he was heading straight to the travel agent to plan an extend trip to his favourite European country, Italy.
“God I really don’t know how I will use my prize,” he said.
“It’s a bit daunting and it’s very hard to decide how I will spend it. It’s a lot of money!
“I will probably go on a holiday.
“I want to go back to Italy. It’s so beautiful! I will live life like an Italian for a few weeks. I will eat lots of pasta and gelato, drink lots of wine and visit all the beautiful sites.
“I’ve been a few times and I can’t wait to go again. I really love it!”
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of two consequtive numbers online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $63.40 million for draw 1311 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $1.02 million for draw 10289.
