A group of workers Moss Vale have admitted it’s going to be hard to concentrate at work today after discovering they won $200,000 in the latest Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The New South Wales players had a workplace syndicate entry that won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1472, drawn Wednesday 15 January 2020.
A NSW Lotteries official called the syndicate members this morning, who erupted into cheers and laughter upon hearing confirmation of their win.
“Woo-hoo! Yeah! That is awesome,” the winners screamed happily.
“I saw I had a few missed calls, but thought it was just my husband, so I didn’t bother calling back,” the syndicate leader continued.
“Then when I went home, I was sitting on the back porch and decided to check my emails and that’s when I saw the email from the Lott telling me to check my tickets.
“I was shaking! I went white as a ghost!
“It’s just so exciting!
“I called everyone straight away and told them. They were all shocked and didn’t believe me.”
The syndicate members admitted they’d spent their morning at work planning how to use their prize.
“There are going to be lots of holidays and renovations. We’ve all been chatting about how we’re going to spend our portion of the prize and we’re all doing different things,” the syndicate leader explained.
“We will have to celebrate with a nice dinner when we see the money in our accounts. What an awesome day that will be!
“Now we’re going to have to go back to work. It’s certainly going to be hard to concentrate today!”
The winners, who wish to remain anonymous, purchased their entry of seven random numbers at Moss Vale Newsagency, Clarence Street, Moss Vale.
Moss Vale Newsagency owner David Reid said the outlet was celebrating selling it’s 22nd major prize.
“How great is that? It’s just wonderful.” he said.
“We are very happy for the private syndicate and we wish them all the best with their prize.
“We have had quite a few wins in the past, so we consider the outlet very lucky.
“Hopefully we make more of our customers major prize winners in the future.”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $11.01 million for draw 1473 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $1.80 million for draw 10345.
