A Mount Cotton dad says there’s no greater feeling than knowing he can help out his children and see them get ahead after winning division one in the weekend’s draw.
The Redlands resident held one of the six division one winning entries across the country in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4067 on Saturday 11 July 2020. Each entry won a division one prize of $856,213.56.
Confirming his win with an official from the Lott this morning, the winner explained he’d checked his life-changing entry over the weekend.
“Thank you very much,” he laughed.
“It feels surreal, it hasn’t sunk in properly at all!
“It’s really hard to believe.
“We went down to our local newsagency yesterday to check the ticket, just like we always do on a Sunday, and there it was.
“This changes everything, it’s life changing, there’s no doubt about that.
“I’ve been playing Saturday Gold Lotto for a long time, I always go to the same newsagent and I always use the same numbers.
“They’re special family dates and I knew they’d have to appear one day.”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his division one windfall, the loving dad thought of his family first.
“We also want to help our children and see them get ahead,” he said.
“It’s truly amazing and the best feeling knowing we can help our kids.”
“It’s an amazing feeling knowing we’re in a position to do that.
“We will also be able to buy a house and own it outright.
The division one winning entry was purchased at Mount Cotton Road News, 159 Mt Cotton Road, Capalaba.
Mount Cotton Road News owners Lyle & Meg Reilly said they were gobsmacked when they heard they’d sold a division one winning entry.
“We’ve been celebrating this exciting milestone for both ourselves and our customer,” they said.

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4067 [youtube.com] on Saturday 11 July 2020 were 38, 22, 27, 26, 32 and 29, while the supplementary numbers were 30 and 42.
