An Elanora mum is now a strong contender for the title of Mother of the Year after promising to shout her adult son a new home with her million-dollar win from this week’s Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw.

The woman was the only division one winner in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3783, drawn on Wednesday 18 July 2018 and takes home a division one prize of $1 million.

It is the 3rd division one prize to land on the Gold Coast in the past three weeks and the 50th time this calendar year a Queensland entry has scored division one.

As the woman’s entry was unregistered, Golden Casket had no way to contact her with the dream-come-true news.

This morning, two days after the winning numbers were drawn, the woman contacted Golden Casket to claim her prize and revealed she had known she was the winner all along.

“It’s me!” she screamed with delight.

“I found out Wednesday night when I watched the draw on television and checked my numbers. I thought ‘hang on, maybe I’ve made a mistake’.

“Then I looked at the computer. One winner! It’s me! “My bank manager is going to faint!”

The Gold Coast resident said she would share some of her Gold Lotto windfall with her adult son, who is at the top of her Lotto List.

“I’m buying my son a house,” she declared.

“And I’m also going to go on a holiday overseas.”

The woman also revealed the story behind her marked 18-game entry that secured her the division one prize.

“I had been playing the same numbers for a while but would only get two or three of them in a draw. Two weeks ago I changed all my numbers and now this!

“I’m so thrilled! So thrilled.”

The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her marked 18-game entry at The Pines News & Gifts, Shop 215, The Pines Shopping Centre, 13–31 Guineas Creek Road, Elanora.

It is the second time in four months The Pines News & Gifts has sold a division one winning entry, and store owner Anthony Milligan could not be more thrilled.

“We’ve really become a lucky store! It’s fantastic!” he said.

“It was only a few months ago we sold another million-dollar prize!”

So far this calendar year, Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto and Saturday Gold Lotto have created 102 millionaires across Australia.

The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3783 on Wednesday 18 July 2018 were 9, 45, 13, 21, 28 and 23, while the supplementary numbers were 19 and 27.

Across Australia there was only one division one winning entry in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3783.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 217 so far this calendar year, including 50 won by Golden Casket customers.

Last financial year, there were 73 division one winning Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won $73 million.
