A Jindalee mum who became a multi-millionaire in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw knows exactly what she’ll do with her $2 million prize – help her adult children.
The Brisbane resident held one of the 15 division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4375, drawn Saturday 24 June 2023 and took home $2 million.
“I’m so excited to be talking to you! I’m all shaky!” she exclaimed when confirming her prize with an official from The Lott.
“I’m still in shock. I checked my ticket yesterday. When it came up that I’d won something, I thought it was $10 or $8 or something. Then I had a look!
“I raced upstairs and said to my family, ‘Am I reading this correctly? I’ve won $200,000?’.
“They said, ‘It’s more than that! It’s $2 million!’.
“It was surreal… and it still is surreal.
“It means a lot in the sense that I can help my kids.
“They said to me, ‘Mum, do what you want to do’. I’m still going to work and I’ll make a few donations to charities, but my main goal is to help my kids. Maybe help them buy a house.
“My family are the pearls in my life. My family is my main concern.”
The regular player’s winning 50-game QuickPick was purchased at Foodworks Jindalee, 1/66 Curragundi Road, Jindalee.
