A Griffith shopper has had a winning start to their weekend, discovering they won $100,000 in a recent Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.
The elusive New South Wales player won the 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10365, drawn Tuesday 14 April 2020.
The ticket was unregistered, so officials from the Lott had no way of contacting the winner to break the news and had to wait for them to come forward to claim their prize.
However, how the Lucky Lotteries winner plans to enjoy their good fortune will forever remain a mystery as they’ve chosen to stay completely anonymous and celebrate their prize in private.
The winning entry was purchased at Griffin Plaza Newsagency, Shop 6 Griffin Plaza, Cnr Yambil Street & Crossing Street, Griffith.
Griffin Plaza Newsagency owner Manjit Lally said he was glad the winner had discovered their win in time for the weekend.
“We are so pleased the winner has come forward,” he said.
“I can only imagine how excited they must have been!
“We wish them all the best and hope they enjoy their prize.
“Hopefully we can sell more major prize winning tickets soon! It’s always wonderful news hearing about a winner in the region.”
The Lott spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said while we might never know exactly what the Griffith winner planned to do with their prize, she was sure it would bring them much joy.
“What better way to start the weekend than by discovering you are now $100,000 richer!” she exclaimed.
“No doubt our winner has plenty of exciting plans for their windfall and hopefully this prize can make their self-isolation a little bit more fun!
“Other winners tell us they love using their prize to renovate their homes, buy some much needed household items, or plan future getaways.
“However our winner chooses to enjoy their windfall we are sure it has put an extra spring in their step!”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $2.44 million for draw 1483 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $4.79 million for draw 10368.
