The search is over for Gympie’s mystery division one winner after a local woman finally checked her Saturday Gold Lotto ticket and uncovered her life-enhancing $585,000 win.
The Greater Sunshine Coast resident held one of the 11 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4655, drawn Saturday 28 February 2026. Each entry scored $585,849.02.
If the winner had been part of The Lott Members Club and registered their ticket to a player card or online account, they would have already been alerted to their good fortune.
Instead, we had to wait for the ticketholder to check their ticket and come forward.
“What a surprise! It’s so great!” she exclaimed when an official from The Lott confirmed her win.
“I normally don’t win anything; absolutely nothing!
“I didn’t know about the win until Sunday. I usually purchase a whole week’s worth and then check them on a Sunday morning, but I was away last weekend and had forgotten about them.
“It was so nice to come back to a division one win from a weekend away!
“I just kept thinking to myself, ‘Did I really win $500,000?’.
“I am in total shock.”
When asked how she planned to enjoy the delightful prize arriving in her bank account early next week, the gleeful winner was quick to reveal her plans for her home.
“I have just moved into a new home, and it needs some renovations. It’s the most perfect timing,” she revealed.
“Thank you very much. I still can’t believe it.”
Her winning entry was purchased at newsXpress Gympie, 47 Mary Street, Gympie.

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4655 on 28 February 2026 were 21, 13, 44, 31, 7 and 35, while the supplementary numbers were 30 and 34.
Across Australia, there were 11 division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4655 – four in Victoria, and two each in Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia, and one in New South Wales.
