A South Australian player won the entire $50 million Oz Lotto jackpot tonight, but the identity of the new multi-millionaire remains a complete mystery.
The South Australian entry was the only division one winning entry nationally in Oz Lotto draw 1608, drawn 10 December 2024.
If the elusive player had registered their ticket to The Lott Members Club, officials from The Lott would have reached out to them tonight to confirm the life-changing news. Instead, the ticket was unregistered, so officials are eagerly waiting for the ticketholder to check their entry and make contact to start the prize claim process.
In addition to the division one winning entry, there were 719,479 prizes worth more than $67 million in divisions two to seven. This included 10 division two winners who each took home $62,689.10.
The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said he was eagerly waiting for Australia’s newest multi-millionaire to make contact and start the prize claim process.
“Tonight’s win is the second-biggest win to land in South Australia in 2024 and caps off a winning year for the state,” he said.
“In May this year, the state welcomed Australia’s biggest individual lottery winner, an Adelaide man who pocketed a $150 million Powerball prize. Tonight, a mystery player joined the multi-millionaire club by winning $50 million, but they possibly don’t know it yet!
“We can’t wait for them to discover this winning news! Just imagine how $50 million might change your plans for Christmas and the year ahead.
“There are 50 million reasons why all South Australian players who had an entry in tonight’s draw should check their tickets as soon as possible.
“If you discover you’re holding the division one winning entry, hold on tight to that ticket and phone 131 868 as soon as possible so that we can start the prize claim process!”
The Lott reminds players of the importance of registering their tickets to The Lott Members Club, so all of their prizes are secure and they can be contacted directly with the good news of a big win.
The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1608 on Tuesday 10 December 2024 were 1, 29, 20, 23, 34, 46 and 39, while the supplementary numbers were 42, 43 and 24.
