It’s possible someone in Victoria is heading to bed tonight completely unaware they won the entire $50 million Oz Lotto jackpot in tonight’s draw – becoming the game’s biggest winner of 2022.
The mystery Victorian held the only division one winning entry nationally in Oz Lotto draw 1494, drawn Tuesday 4 October 2022. They take home the entire $50 million jackpot.
The winning entry was sold at a Tatts outlet in the City of Casey, in Melbourne’s southeast.
So far this year, 13 Oz Lotto division one wins have scored more than $225 million in prize money.
In addition to the sole division one win, there were a total of 778,643 prizes worth more than $18 million won in divisions two to seven in tonight’s Oz Lotto draw. Among those winners were 14 division two winners who each took home a $47,858.55 prize.
The winning entry was unregistered, meaning lottery officials have to wait for the mystery ticketholder to discover their life-changing news and come forward to claim their prize.
The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said someone’s life had completely changed tonight, but they might not yet have realised it.

The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1494 on Tuesday 4 October 2022 were 37, 42, 47, 39, 5, 17 and 20, while the supplementary numbers were 29, 22 and 38.
