A mystery Wee Waa shopper is suddenly $10,000 richer after scratching a top prize on an Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
The winning $1 ticket was purchased at Wee Waa Newsagency, 80 Rose Street, Wee Waa.
How they plan to enjoy their prize will remain a mystery as they’ve chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate their win in private.
Wee Waa Newsagency owner Roxanne Whitton said it was exciting news for the community.
“This is the first top prize winning ticket we’ve sold!” she exclaimed.
“We are so happy for the winner and so excited to see this prize won locally.
“It’s great news for us and the town.
“Congratulations to our winner. We hope this is the first of many for our community!”
Instant Scratch-Its spokesperson Lauren Cooney said she was sure the state’s latest winner would enjoy every moment of their windfall.
“We have no doubt this Wee Waa player will love every moment of planning what to do with their win,” she said.
“Other winners have told us they use their windfall to upgrade their car, do renovations on their home, or plan an exciting holiday.
“No matter how they enjoy their prize we are sure it will give them a boost!”
