A Frankston couple’s weekly Instant Scratch-Its tradition has bloomed into a $100,000 prize, arriving just months after they welcomed their little bundle of joy.
The new parent’s $5 Crosswords Colour Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at Beach Street Newsagency, 237 Beach Street, Frankston.
When an official from The Lott spoke with them yesterday, they were still coming to terms with the reality of their instant windfall.
“I don’t think it’ll feel real until we see the money in our account which is excitingly not too far off,” she said.
“My partner and I have a weekly ritual of buying an Instant Scratch-Its ticket and scratching away together.
“We usually just purchase more scratchies with whatever we win. Now we can say we’ve won $100,000!
“It couldn’t have come at a better time, especially with our newborn baby arriving just three months ago.
“It feels extra sweet because of the timing.
“We’ll be able to take a chunk out of our home loan. Thank you so much!”
