A North Shore man says there’s no sign of the Monday blues today after kicking off the working week with the news he’s now a millionaire.
The Sydney resident held one of the five division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4137, drawn Saturday 13 March 2021. Each division one winning entry scored $1,165,537.35.
Confirming his win with an official from The Lott this afternoon, newly-minted millionaire explained he’d made the life-changing discovery over the weekend.
“Oh my god!” he laughed.
“Thank you very much. I am so happy.
“I checked my ticket online on Sunday morning, that’s when I realised I’d won!
“I thought maybe there was a small prize there, but when I looked closer I couldn’t believe it.
“I checked it over and over again to make sure.
“I was very surprised! It was an incredible feeling.
“I don’t play Saturday Lotto very often but recently had a feeling that I wanted to play and I’m so glad I did!” When asked how he imagined life as a millionaire, the generous winner said it would be his family that would benefit the most.
“It honestly couldn’t have come at a better time,” he said.
“It’s going to really help me a lot and I can really look after my family.
“It’s incredible.”
The life-changing 6-game QuickPick was purchased online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4137 on 15 March 2021 were 27, 17, 37, 15, 40 and 22 while the supplementary numbers were 2 and 4.
Across Australia, there were five division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4137 – two from New South Wales and one each from Queensland, South Australia and Victoria.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 302 so far this financial year, including 80 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In 2020, Saturday Lotto created 122 millionaires across Australia.
