An ecstatic man from Bondi is ready to purchase his first apartment after discovering he is now $100,000 richer from winning the latest Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.
The winner held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10236, drawn Monday 16 July 2018.
When a NSW Lotteries official contacted the winner this morning to confirm the win, the Bondi man couldn’t contain his excitement.
“This is amazing, it is honestly unbelievable,” he exclaimed.
“I am feeling excellent now, I am absolutely speechless.
“I am just shaking like crazy at the moment, I just can’t stop shaking.
“I went to the newsagency and when I scanned my ticket it said I had to go to the counter, but the girl didn’t really know what was going on. So when I went home I decided to check my emails and that’s when I saw I had won a prize and called you.
“I still didn’t really know what was going on until now, so this is absolutely awesome!”
When asked how he planned to spend his Lucky Lotteries windfall, the happy man revealed he could finally achieve a lifelong dream.
“I am almost sixty and I am still renting an apartment,” he admitted.
“I have been dying to buy a property so this will help me put a deposit down, finally.
“I am just so happy I can finally buy something.
“It is definitely going to help me so much. I finally stand a chance of purchasing something, so that makes me ecstatic.
“But now, I am going to go home, I feel like I have done enough work for the day, and I have certainly earned more from this win. Then tonight, I am going to take my family out and celebrate properly.”
He also confessed Lucky Lotteries was his preferred game.
“I usually play Lucky Lotteries because I always had this feeling that I would win something off it," he said.
“I really love the game and I just felt like I was due for some luck in my life.”
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of one random number from Bronte Newsagency, 145A Macpherson Street, Bronte.
Last financial year, 113 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions won more than $23.57 million. During this time, the biggest individual jackpot prize was won by a young Inner-West Sydney man, who took home $6.87 million.
